Please note that you cannot refer a family member or friend who is a refugee into the BVOR program. The BVOR program is only for refugees that have been referred for resettlement to Canada by UNHCR. If you have a family member or friend who is a refugee that you would like to sponsor to Canada, you can do so via the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program.

Veuillez noter que vous ne pouvez pas parrainer un membre de votre famille ou un ami réfugié dans le cadre du Programme mixte des réfugiés désignés par un bureau des visas (RDBV). Le programme RDBV s’adresse uniquement aux réfugiés dont le HCR a recommandé la réinstallation au Canada. Si vous avez un membre de votre famille ou un ami qui est un réfugié et que vous souhaitez parrainer pour qu’il ou elle se réinstalle au Canada, vous pouvez le faire dans le cadre du programme de parrainage privé de réfugiés (PPPR)

Profile 26-0120 – A Family of four from Sudan
The father (37) has technical or vocational training and experience working as a farmer, blacksmith and press worker. The mother (36) has studied up to university level and has experience working as a housekeeper. The eldest child is 8-years-old and has started school, the youngest is 1. The family speak Arabic, both parents speak English and the father also speaks Fur.
Profile 26-0121 – A family of six from Sudan
This family consists of a couple (65 and 49 years old) and their four children (19, 16, 14 and 12-years-old). The children are all students and educated up to secondary school level. The father has twelve years of education and experience working as a farm labourer, waiter, bartender and salesman. The mother has a University level education and has work experience as a teacher and homemaker. The family speak Arabic.

This 29-year-old has studied up to post-secondary level and has experience working as a street vendor. He speaks English, Somali and Swahili. His siblings are Profiles 26-0123 and 26-0124 and they must all be sponsored together.

This 22-year-old has twelve years of education (up to secondary school level). She speaks English, Somali and Swahili. Her siblings are Profiles 26-0122 and 26-0123 and they must all be sponsored together.

This individual (25) has four years of education and experience working as a shoemaker. He speaks English, Dari and Urdu.
