Please note that the refugee profiles visible below do not reflect cases that have since been placed on hold or that have a confirmed match.

Please email bvor@rstp.ca to place a case on hold or to confirm a match and for the most detailed and up to date profile information. 

Please note that you cannot refer a family member or friend who is a refugee into the BVOR program. The BVOR program is only for refugees that have been referred for resettlement to Canada by UNHCR. If you have a family member or friend who is a refugee that you would like to sponsor to Canada, you can do so via the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program.

Veuillez noter que vous ne pouvez pas parrainer un membre de votre famille ou un ami réfugié dans le cadre du Programme mixte des réfugiés désignés par un bureau des visas (RDBV). Le programme RDBV s’adresse uniquement aux réfugiés dont le HCR a recommandé la réinstallation au Canada. Si vous avez un membre de votre famille ou un ami qui est un réfugié et que vous souhaitez parrainer pour qu’il ou elle se réinstalle au Canada, vous pouvez le faire dans le cadre du Programme de parrainage privé de réfugiés (PPPR)

Profile 26-0134: An individual from Afghanistan 

  • Applicant: A 22-year-old with 12 years of education. Has worked as a pre-primary teacher.  
  • Language: Eastern Farsi. 
  • Linked profile: They must be sponsored with their sibling in Profile 26-0133.  

Profile 26-0135: An individual from Afghanistan 

  • Applicant: A 31-year-old with a university level of education. Has worked as a teacher.  
  • Language: Eastern Farsi. 
  • Linked profile: They must be sponsored with their sibling in Profile 26-0134. 

Profile 26-0136: A family of 4 from Burma (Myanmar) 

  • Applicant: A 34-year-old with 2 years of education. Has worked as a farmer and sweeper. 
  • Spouse: A 31-year-old with experience as a homemaker. 
  • Children: A boy (10) and girl (6). 
  • Language: Rohingya. 

Profile 26-0137: A mother and 4 children from Burma (Myanmar) 

  • Applicant: A 37-year-old with 9 years of education. Has worked as a homemaker and stall salesperson.  
  • Children: 3 girls (17, 13 and 8) and a boy (13). 
  • Language: Burmese (all family members), English (oldest child), Malay (applicant and oldest child). 

Profile 26-0138: A family of 4 from Burma (Myanmar) 

  • Applicant: A 37-year-old with 5 years of education. Has worked as a restaurant worker and community teacher. 
  • Spouse: A 45-year-old with an informal education. Has experience as a sales worker and community teacher. 
  • Children: 2 girls (12 and 6). 
  • Language: Burmese (all family members), English (applicant). 

Profile 26-0139: A family of 6 from Burma (Myanmar) 

  • Applicant: A 32-year-old with experience as a field crop and vegetable grower, and a construction worker. 
  • Spouse: A 29-year-old with 2 years of education and experience as a homemaker. 
  • Children: 2 boys (11 and 8) and 2 girls (5 and 1). 
  • Language: Rohingya. 
  • Destination: This family must be resettled in Kitchener, ON, as recommended by IRCC. They do not have any known friends or family in Canada. 

Profile 26-0140: A family of 5 from Burma (Myanmar) 

  • Applicant: A 35-year-old with 7 years of education. Has worked as a fruit seller and construction worker. 
  • Spouse: A 30-year-old with 4 years of education and experience as a homemaker. 
  • Children: 1 girl (11) and 2 boys (7 and 1). 
  • Language: Rohingya. 
  • Destination: This family must be resettled in London, ON, as recommended by IRCC. They do not have any known friends or family in Canada. 

Profile 26-0141: A family of 5 from Burma (Myanmar) 

  • Applicant: A 31-year-old with an informal education. Has worked as a fishery worker and building construction worker. 
  • Spouse: A 29-year-old with experience as a homemaker. 
  • Children: 1 girl (10) and 2 boys (8 and 2). 
  • Language: Rohingya. 

Profile 26-0142: A family of 3 from Burma (Myanmar) 

  • Applicant: A 39-year-old with 3 years of education. Has worked as a fish seller. 
  • Spouse: A 25-year-old with no education or work experience listed.  
  • Children: A boy (1). 
  • Language: Rohingya (all family members), Burmese and Malay (applicant).

  • Applicant: A 27-year-old with a technical or vocational education. Has worked as a perfume seller.  
  • Language: English, Farsi. 
  • Linked profile: They must be sponsored with their sibling in Profile 26-0144.  

Profile 26-0144: An individual from Afghanistan 

  • Applicant: A 17-year-old with 6 years of education.  
  • Language: Farsi. 
  • Linked profile: They must be sponsored with their sibling in Profile 26-0143. 

Profile 26-0145: A family of 5 from Burma (Myanmar) 

  • Applicant: A 28-year-old with 3 years of education. Has worked as a mixed crop and livestock farm labourer, and a civil engineering labourer.  
  • Spouse: A 27-year-old with experience as a homemaker.  
  • Children: 2 girls (10 and 1) and a boy (8). 
  • Language: Rohingya. 

Profile 26-0146: A mother and 4 children from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 

  • Applicant: A 37-year-old with experience as a subsistence crop farmer and domestic cleaner. 
  • Children: 1 adult son (21), 2 boys (14 and 12) and a girl (7).  
  • Language: Swahili (all family members), Kinyabwisha (applicant), and English (2 eldest children).
