National webinar: ‘Ask us anything about the BVOR refugee sponsorship program’

This webinar is for:

Anyone in Canada, interested in becoming a refugee sponsor through the BVOR program (a program that matches would-be sponsors with refugees overseas who will be resettled to Canada)

Existing BVOR sponsors who are actively sponsoring someone right now, whether new to the program or experienced (including Groups of Five, Community Sponsors and Workplace Sponsorship participants)

Curious about BVOR sponsorship but not sure where to start? Join us live on Zoom with your questions about how sponsorship works, what to expect, or how to get started—we’ll do our best to answer them! Whether you’re exploring BVOR for the first time or are an experienced sponsor, everyone is welcome, and all questions are encouraged. This live Q&A is also an opportunity for matched sponsors who are waiting to welcome, or have already welcomed, a refugee newcomer or family to Canada to ask questions about their settlement responsibilities. Case-specific questions are welcome! You’re welcome to stay for the whole session or drop-in to ask your question. If we run out of time, we will follow-up any unanswered questions with an email.

*Before you register – please note, refugees for the BVOR program are referred to Canada by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and selected by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Refugees cannot apply to participate in this program.
