Introducing the <\/span>Private Sponsors\u2019 Resource Booklet on the Arrival and Orientation of Newcomers.<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

This booklet <\/span>is <\/span>designed<\/span> to help sponsors in the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program support newcomers <\/span>when they first arrive to Canada.<\/span> In it you can find an introduction on the importance of Arrival and Orientation and links to many of the key resources that exist to help newcomers get to know Canada when they first arrive. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How to use this booklet:<\/h4>\n

You can find out about where to start by going to the booklets’ First Things First<\/strong> section, or you can jump to the section with instructions on how to access the O-Canada app, a free, interactive program that explains all about life in Canada. The booklet covers the required supports for the Private Sponsorship of Refugees program as well as what to know about Cultural Adjustment and the Social Determinants of Health. This is a great resource for new sponsors and an excellent reference for experienced sponsors.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
