DESCRIPTION:Scams and fraud are becoming more sophisticated\, especially with the rise of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) generated informatoin and media in in fraudulent activities. Anyone can become a target – newcomers like sponsored refugees who are still adjusting to life in Canada are especially vulnerable as they may not be familiar with these threats…yet! \nSponsors and refugee newcomers are encouraged to join this info session for an opportunity to learn how to to recognize threats and prevent potential negative outcomes if they are targeted. \nA guest speaker from MOSAIC (a settlement provider organization) will also join us during this session to present about the topic. \nRegister Here\nPlease note: this virtual info session starts at 1 pm EDT / 10 am PDT – it is 2 hours long and will be hosted on ZOOM.
