In this course you will learn about the different types of sponsoring groups\, the Canadian immigration programs for refugee resettlement\, refugee and sponsor eligibility requirements\, the application process\, settlement planning\, calculating the sponsorship cost\, overseas processing\, and post-arrival responsibilities. \nParticipants will also be able to engage with the course facilitator\, and other participants\, and enhance their learning by participating in weekly video chat sessions and discussion forums. \nENROLLMENT IS NOW OPEN \n1. DESCRIPTION:This hands-on webinar by the Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP) is for new and experienced sponsors who want to learn about the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program. Join us to get an in-depth understanding of the PSR program. \nWe will go over the following information: \n*an overview of Canada’s refugee sponsorship and resettlement programs \n*who can sponsor under the PSR program \n*the eligibility and admissibility requirements for refugees being sponsored under the PSR program \n*the importance of refugee status documents and who needs them \n*and\, an overview of the application process. \nThe monthly webinars are a 5-part PSR program webinar series where attendees will learn how to become a PSR refugee sponsor by going through the entire process from A-Z.
