Settlement service providers (SPOs) are agencies that provide free services to newcomers (and their sponsors) to assist them during their settlement period in Canada\, through their ‘Settlement Workers’ or ‘Settlement Counsellors’. They can help with things like providing information about available English classes and placements\, school enrolments for children\, job search counselling and other employment related supports.
