DESCRIPTION:*Please note\, this webinar is open to all private refugee sponsors (PSR and BVOR programs) and newly arrived sponsored refugees.  \nThe government provides many social and financial benefits through the tax system. To receive these benefits\, people in Canada must report their income and file taxes each year. Private Sponsors can help PSR and BVOR newcomers understand how the Canadian tax system works and why filing taxes are important. Sponsors can also help the newcomers complete and submit their tax forms. \nPlease join this information session to learn how you can support sponsored refugee newcomers with their taxes and navigate which benefits they may be eligible for. Please note that the session is facilitated by RSTP\, and it will not offer any in-depth information on taxes or tax advice. \n  \nRegister here
