DESCRIPTION:The Canadian government provides many social and financial benefits through its tax system. To receive these benefits\, people in Canada must report their income and file taxes each year. Refugee sponsors can help PSR and BVOR refugee newcomers benefit\, by explaining how the tax system works\, why taxes are important\, and by helping them complete and submit tax forms. \nJoin this information session to learn how you can support sponsored refugee newcomers in understanding Canada’s tax system and learn how to apply for the benefits that the newcomers may qualify for. Please note that the session is facilitated by RSTP\, and it will not offer any in-depth information on taxes or tax advice. \n  \nRegister here
