  • Sponsoring Eritrean Refugees as a Group of Five or a Community Sponsor

    Description: The Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP) and the Refugee Sponsorship Support Program (Refugee SSP) are hosting a free workshop in Toronto for Groups of Five and Community Sponsors interested in sponsoring Eritrean refugees. Attendees will learn about: how they can sponsor as a Group of Five or a Community Sponsor; the requirements for refugee sponsorship; what refugee status documents are required to sponsor Eritrean refugees; and, the application process. Translation in Tigrinya and Arabic will be provided. During the workshop, attendees will have an opportunity to discuss individual cases with a pro bono lawyer from the Refugee SSP. Sign-in will start at 5.30 pm, and the workshop will start promptly at 5.45 pm.
