Description: The Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP) and the Refugee Sponsorship Support Program (Refugee SSP) are hosting a free workshop in Toronto for Groups of Five and Community Sponsors interested in sponsoring Eritrean refugees. Attendees will learn about: how they can sponsor as a Group of Five or a Community Sponsor; the requirements for refugee sponsorship; what refugee status documents are required to sponsor Eritrean refugees; and, the application process. Translation in Tigrinya and Arabic will be provided. During the workshop, attendees will have an opportunity to discuss individual cases with a pro bono lawyer from the Refugee SSP. Description: The RSTP and Immigration Services Guelph-Wellington (IS-GW) are conducting this workshop to provide an overview of sponsorship, explain application forms and provide updates on new changes to Private Sponsorship of Refugees. Description: York University's Centre for Refugee Studies and Syria Response and Refugee Initiative (www.yorku.ca/refugees) are hosting a workshop by the RSTP on Month 13 Planning for private sponsors and the interested public.
