Description: Attendees in this free workshop will learn how to sponsor Afghan refugees and the topics covered would include: How they can sponsor Afghan refugees as a Group of Five or a Community Sponsor; The requirements for refugee sponsorship; What refugee status documents are required to sponsor Afghan refugees; and, The application process. During the workshop, attendees will have an opportunity to discuss individual refugee sponsorship cases with pro bono lawyers from the Refugee SSP. Refugee SSP is able to assist sponsors for free with completing the refugee sponsorship application forms at their legal clinics.
