  • Workshop for Groups of Five and Community Sponsors with IRCC

    Description:The RSTP and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) are hosting this information session for individuals interested in submitting applications under the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program as a Group of Five or a Community Sponsor.  The session will cover: • How to complete the application forms;• The requirements for Groups of Five and Community Sponsors as outlined in the Instruction Guides (see: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-sponsor-refugee-groups-five.html and https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-sponsor-refugee-community.html). Please note that some of the requirements for Groups of Five and Community Sponsors will change over the summer and this session will address them; and, • How IRCC processes PSR applications submitted by Groups of Five and Community Sponsors.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to provide feedback to IRCC on the forms, the requirements and the application process.  Kindly note that IRCC will not be answering any questions on PSR applications that are currently being processed, or have been refused, by ROC-O or Visa Offices abroad.  Sign-in will begin at 6:30 pm and the workshop will start promptly at 7:00 pm.     Description:In this Welcome Centre Immigrant Services workshop, attendees would learn more about who can be sponsored in a Group of Five and what you need to do to become a sponsor.
